I am an enthusiastic person who enjoys discovering how computer science and mathematical modeling can be combined for solving complex engineering problems. As a result of this I am a PhD candidate in the Mechanical and Civil Engineering (MCE) department at Caltech. Currently I am working under the supervision of Domniki Asimaki and my research focuses on Parameter Identification for Reduced Order Models of Soil-Structure Interaction Based on Ensamble Kalman Inversion.

Before coming to Caltech, I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering at Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María in Chile, as well as a second master in Analysis and Design of Earthquakes Resistant Structures (ADERS) at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in Greece. During my undergraduate and postgraduate thesis I worked in the area of Reliability-Rased Optimization of structural systems.
